Chrome Extension
Help with the Solunce AI sidebar extension — setup, permissions, auto-answer, and more.
Search "Solunce AI" in the Chrome Web Store and click Install. Then click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Solunce AI for easy access.
Why does the extension ask for an API key?
The extension connects directly to the Solunce API using your key. It's free to get — grab one at solunce.com/keys in seconds. Your key is stored only in your browser, never on our servers.
Auto Answer isn't detecting questions on the page.
Auto Answer works on IXL, Khan Academy, Google Forms, Quizlet, Quizizz, and similar platforms. Make sure you're on a page with a visible question and that the extension sidebar is open. Some sites with unusual layouts may not be detected.
The Summarize button says it can't read the page.
Some pages (like PDFs, chrome:// pages, and the Chrome Web Store) block extensions from reading content. This is a browser security restriction and cannot be bypassed. Try on a regular website.
How do I paste a screenshot into chat?
Take a screenshot (Win+Shift+S or Cmd+Shift+4), then click inside the chat input and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac). The image will appear as a thumbnail above the input. Iris 1.0 will automatically be used to analyze it.

Is the API key free?
Yes — API keys are completely free to create. Go to solunce.com/keys and generate one instantly after signing in.
I lost my API key. Can I recover it?
Keys created recently can be revealed from the Keys page using the "Show key" button. If your key was created before this feature was added, you'll need to generate a new one — it only takes a second.
My token balance isn't updating.
Token balances refresh automatically after each message. If yours seems stuck, try refreshing the page. Tokens reset daily — if you've hit your limit, it will reset the following day.

Which model should I use?
Solus 2.1 is the best all-rounder for questions, writing, research, and math. Forge 3.0 is built for code — it produces cleaner, more accurate code with syntax highlighting. Iris 1.0 handles images and screenshots.
Can I send images?
Yes. Click the paperclip icon to attach an image file, or press Ctrl+V to paste a screenshot. Iris 1.0 will automatically be selected to analyze it.
The AI gave me a wrong or unexpected answer.
AI models can make mistakes. For important information always verify independently. You can start a new chat and rephrase your question for a different result. If you see a consistent issue, please email us so we can investigate.
